Naast De Bokkedoorns, in bezit van twee Michelinsterren van John en Pascal Beeren en Menno Post, staat ook De Lindenhof van Martin Kruithof in Giethoorn in de lijst van 200 beste klassieke restaurants van 2017. De Lindenhof neemt positie 80 in. La Rive, van chef Roger Rassin in het Amstel Hotel is de derde Nederlandse notering in de top 200. La Rive staat op 127.
Menno Post maakte de notering bekend via zijn Facebook-pagina.
Op nummer één in de ranglijst staat Hotel de Ville - B. Violier, van chef Franck Giovannini in Lausanne Zwitserland. Op nummer twee en drie staan twee Franse zaken. De top tien bevat maar liefst 5 Franse restaurants, twee Duitse zaken, een Spaanse en een restaurant bevindt zich in Monaco. Dit is de zaak van de Franse chef Alain Ducasse- Louis XV. De
dagelijkse leiding is er in handen van chef Dominique Lory.
De hoogst genoteerde Belg staat op nummer 15 en het gaat hier om Hof van Cleven van Peter Goossens, in bezit van drie Michelinsterren.
De Top 100+ Classical & Heritage Restaurants 2017 is de officiële naam van de door Opinionated About Dining gepubliceerde ranglijst. De lijst bevat - in tegenstelling tot wat de naam doet vermoeden, geen 100 maar 200 restaurants die vallen onder de noemer 'klassiek'. Volgens Opinionated About Dining onderscheiden de restaurants in de lijst zich vanwege de status als erfgoed
